Gushing Water Forces Customers To Flee At Westchester Diner

A slow roof leak turned into an all-out sprinkler discharge during the lunchtime rush at BLD Diner at 2399 Boston Post Road in Larchmont.

Diners were forced to run after a trickling from the ceiling above a dining room booth became steady as water -- mixed with what seemed like black oil -- fell on customers, many of whom rushed out like a herd at a concert.

It is still under investigation and unclear what led to the leak.
